A new Law is issued, under no. 4701\/30.06.2020 (Government Gazette A’128), entitled “Framework for granting microfinance, financial sector regulations and other provisions” which introduces a new type of supervised entity, that of Microfinance Institutions, which is based on European Code of Good Conduct for Microcredit Provision. According to the new Law, the beneficiaries can raise capital up to twenty-five thousand (25,000) euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

TMEDE Microfinance Solutions, the first institutional body active in the microfinance sector, is founded.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

TMEDE Microfinance Solutions is licensed – after evaluation – and supervised by the Bank of Greece, in the context of the Law 4701\/2020. It is the first microfinancing institution licensed by the Bank of Greece to grant loans to support very small enterprises or start-ups and the self-employed persons who are members of TMEDE.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

In June 2023, TMEDE put into full operation \u201cTMEDE Microfinance Solutions\u201d, the 1st licensed by the Bank of Greece institutional microfinance company in the country. Through this innovative financial instrument, TMEDE meets in a comprehensive way, the needs of its members for seamless access to funding.<\/p>\n

TMEDE Microfinance Solutions proudly announces its collaboration with the European Investment Fund (EIF), under InvestEU. This approach not only opens new avenues for funding, but also contributes to the broader objectives of social inclusion and economic empowerment. By unlocking such initiatives, TMEDE can help drive innovation, job creation, and financial support for all its members throughout Greece.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
